Fireplace inserts are available in various sizes. Before you shop, do the following fireplace measurements:

Length: The distance from one side of the fireplace to the other. Measure the length at both the opening and the back of the firebox.
Height: distance from the firebox floor to the top. Measure front and back for optimal fit.
Depth: Distance from fireplace opening to the back of the firebox.
